The Faber Music Teachers’ Community is a free-to-access, vibrant network where instrumental and singing teachers can share their perspectives and experiences, engaging in a continuing dialogue on music education and publishing. Members can also access exclusive resources, discounts, giveaways, publishing previews, author interviews and more.

What we offer

Following research conducted by Sound Connections, we set up the Faber Music Teachers' Community in 2024 to provide a free online community for music teachers. The research showed that since the pandemic, teachers were in need of support and connection, and seeking out communities of practice to share knowledge and skills. We wanted to provide this support while also creating a space for teachers to talk to us as a publisher and tell us how we can better meet their needs.

The Faber Music Teachers' Community is now made up of almost 1000 teachers across the UK – and counting! Over the past 6 months we have hosted webinars on sight-reading, scales and teaching beginners, shared individual teaching blogs and videos from our authors Paul Harris, Pam Wedgwood, and Lin Marsh, and given out over 200 free books to teachers.

In 2025 the community continues to grow as we expand to include teachers across the US.
